MISPLACED OR LOST PROPERTY POLICY

INTRODUCTION

At Morris Transfers Ltd, we understand that losing personal belongings during your journey can be frustrating. While our driver partners are self-employed and licensed by the relevant local licensing authorities, we are committed to assisting in the recovery of misplaced or lost property to the best of our ability.

REPORTING LOST PROPERTY

If you believe you have left an item in one of our vehicles, please contact us as soon as possible. You can report lost property by:

  • Pickup and drop-off locations

  • Description of the item

  • Any distinguishing features

COLLECTION OF LOST PROPERTY

If your item has been found and is in our possession, we will inform you of its location. To collect your property, you will need to:

  • Provide a valid photo ID (e.g., passport, driving licence)

  • Sign a receipt acknowledging the collection of your item

Items can be collected during our office hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 17:00

  • Weekends: By prior appointment only

RETURNING LOST PROPERTY

If you are unable to collect your item in person and wish for it to be returned to you, we can arrange for delivery. A fee will be charged to cover postage and handling costs. Please contact us to discuss the available options.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL OF UNCLAIMED PROPERTY

We endeavour to retain lost property for a reasonable period. However, if items remain unclaimed, we may dispose of them as follows:

  • Perishable items: Disposed of immediately

  • Valuables (e.g., electronics, jewellery): Held for up to 28 days before being donated to charity or disposed of

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

While we make every effort to assist in the recovery of lost property, Morris Transfers Ltd cannot accept responsibility for items left in vehicles. We are not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during your journey.
